At the time of writing, it's not known whether there are any attempts to make JPA asynchronous or reactive. Such work requires an established asynchronous or reactive replacement for JDBC, on which JPA is also built. Furthermore, JPA is designed with many assumptions that are not true anymore in reactive programming. Moreover, the huge code base of JPA providers is not an easy target for reactive refactoring. Consequently, most likely, there won't be reactive JPA support any time soon.
