Chapter 9. Hyperledger Fabric V2 Integration
Since Hyperledger Fabric v1.0.0 released in 2017, many minor versions have been rolled out for Fabric v1.x (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4). As an open source, permissioned distributed ledger, Hyperledger Fabric has quickly become one of the most popular enterprise blockchain frameworks, adopted by many organizations from small businesses to enterprises worldwide. The major cloud vendors—including AWS, IBM, and Oracle—have included Fabric in their blockchain cloud services, as you saw in Chapter 8. Fabric’s benefits and popularity stem from its powerful architecture for building enterprise blockchain applications.
In 2020, the Hyperledger Community released Hyperledger Fabric v2, bringing many improvements over v1. This significant milestone has boosted the adoption of enterprise blockchains and enhanced the efficiency and security of production deployments.
