Impacts on testing and deployment

At this point in the iteration, apart from standard unit-testing for various properties and methods that aren't involved in any message transmission, there's not much that can be done from a testing standpoint. We have yet to integrate messaging with data changes, which we'll examine in Chapter 17Handling Service Transactions, and without a complete send-and-receive process available, in either direction, there's not much that can be done, even from a manual-testing perspective, that hasn't already been explored.

It also feels premature to work out any deployment details for the Artisan Gateway daemon just yet, for similar reasons, though at this point, it feels like a very basic setup.py/Makefile arrangement ...
