Shipping logs directly from the application
The last log shipping strategy that we will be examining is to actually embed the log shipping logic into each application. As shown in the following diagram, the application is sending its logs directly to a log repository:

An interesting use case for this strategy is to integrate with an external, third-party SaaS offering that requires applications to import and use a vendor-specific software development kit.
