Once we realized that it would be very difficult to create a Hollywood show in Texas, we decided to go straight to the source – Los Angeles.

Now, for those of you who have never dealt with ­Hollywood, it’s a place that is a world unto itself. It has its own rules and ways of doing things. In Hollywood, it’s not so much about whom you know, but who knows you. Back home in Texas, Four Day Weekend was very well known. One would consider our group to be a big fish in a small pond. It was very easy to get things done on a local level. But in Los Angeles, no one knew who we were and we had to start over from scratch. So, armed with our naïveté and Get Lost, we headed west to get in the long, long, long line with other funny 
white guys.

As it turned out, our agent Jennifer was very instrumental in using her contacts to get us interview meetings with some of the better B-level agencies in town. That’s one of the things about Los Angeles; agencies basically are broken down into categories: A level, B level, C level, and so on. The A-level agencies consist of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), The ­William Morris Endeavor (WME), International ­Creative Management (ICM), and United Talent Agency (UTA).
