It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Terminating an HBase cluster
Before terminating the cluster, it is advisable to make sure that a backup of the data is done, and the nodes are not writing to the master so that there is consistence in the data.
How to do it…
The termination step is very simple—simply go the cluster list, select the cluster, and click on the Terminate button. This will start the logical termination and eventually the resources will be released to other applications running is the same cluster (at the hardware level):
