To the recruited, sometimes the methods of recruiters can seem all smoke and mirrors. But really it’s quite straightforward: get the facts straight and present them professionally. A good search involves a deep understanding of the client company and its challenges, goals, and corporate culture; an objective penetration of the identity, effectiveness, and style of a candidate; and management of the recruitment process with a firm, polished, and professional hand.
If knowledge is power, then the more you know about this process, the more influence you will have in managing it as a candidate and coming out on top in your dealings with the executive recruiter.
