SQL keywords and functions are capitalized and in monospace, for example SELECT, WHERE, LIMIT, or SELECT CURRENT_USER;. However, the capitalization is not necessary for SQL. It’s used here to differentiate functions and keywords from other types of query text.
You may also encounter fragments of queries or specific clauses. These aren’t runnable on their own and that will be called out.
Proper nouns in PostgreSQL like System Views[48] will be presented using the format from official documentation.
