Logging In Using a Multiple User Account

To log into your Mac after taking care of all this account creation business, click the correct user name from the list that appears when you start your computer (Figure B-3, top). Then click the Log In button. If you have a password associated with the user, the password dialog box (Figure B-3, bottom) pops up. If you type the wrong password, the box shudders and you'll need to try again.

Top: Once the Multiple Users option is turned on and you have more than a single user, the login window appears each time you start up your Mac or when you log out (Special → Logout).Bottom: For password-protected accounts, Mac OS 9 pops up a little box and cheerfully asks you to enter your password. If you enter the wrong password, the window shudders and lets you try again.
