Using GoToMyPC

GoToMyPC (www.gotomypc.com) lets you remotely access one Windows computer from any other computer using nothing more than a standard Web browser. You can take the reins of any Windows computer using GoToMyPC. That's the good news. The bad news…it isn't free.

Using GoToMyPC, you can control a single PC from afar for $19.95 a month—or $179.40, if you prepay for a full year. Controlling additional PCs costs more, but not an additional $19.95 a month. GoToMyPC only charges you for each host PC you set up. You're free to access your host PC from as many different remote PCs that you like. Then you need to download and install a special program on your host PC. Finally, from the remote computer, you need to download another program that lets you control the host PC. The next few sections explain everything ...
