I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

As I began to research this book, I was amazed at how much had been written on the subject of smiling. A quick Google search will bring up hundreds of results, ranging from scientific experiments published in medical journals to lighthearted articles in health magazines. Now, some of you may have loved science and math when you were in high school. If you did, awesome! You’re going to love this chapter. For the rest of you, bear with me through the chapter, because understanding the basics of the physical and chemical process of smiling is crucial.
