This book was produced by a team of specialists from around the world working at the
International Technical Support Organization, Raleigh Center.
Dmitriy Beryoza has over 20 years of experience in software design
and implementation. He has been working at IBM since 2001,
focusing on data access technologies (including Dynamic Query
and Dynamic Cubes) in several generations of IBM Cognos
products. Before joining IBM, Dmitriy worked on software projects
for a number of companies and research labs as an Architect,
Developer, and Consultant. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science
and has extensive experience in Java and C++ programming, and
web and systems software development.
Shilpa Bhimavarapu joined IBM at the Silicon Valley Laboratory in
2008 and was a member of the IBM InfoSphere® Cubing Services
and Alphablox quality assurance teams before joining the Dynamic
Cube quality engineering group as a Functional Verification Tester
and an Integration Test Engineer. Shilpa has a Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science and Engineering from the Chaitanya Bharathi
Institute of Technology in India, and a Master’s degree in Software
Engineering from San Jose State University in the US.
Alan Blake is a Technical Solutions Architect and is a member of IBM
North America IOT Advanced POC Team based in New York and
New Jersey. He has over 15 years in developing, implementing, and
supporting business analytic and data warehouse solutions in the
finance, healthcare, and local government sectors. His current role
is to demonstrate the suitability of IBM Business Analytic solutions
within the customer's current infrastructure. Alan holds a Bachelor’s
degree in Technology and Business Studies from the University of
Strathclyde in Scotland and a Master’s degree in Information
Systems Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, New
Jersey, US.
David Cushing is the Lead Architect for IBM Cognos Dynamic
Cubes, based in Ottawa, Canada. David was a member of the
Cognos data access team for 23 years and joined IBM as a result of
the acquisition of Cognos. He has been involved with the
development of relational and multi-dimensional data access in
various products, including IBM Impromptu®, IBM PowerPlay®, IBM
Cognos ReportNet®, Cognos 8 and Cognos 10. David was part of
the team that produced the Dynamic Query Mode server before
becoming the Lead Architect for IBM InfoSphere Cubing Services.
David has a Master’s of Computer Science degree from the
Technical University of Nova Scotia (now a part of Dalhousie
University), Canada, and holds several patents in the area of query
generation and processing.
