Configuring Horizon sites

A Horizon site is used to assign a Horizon pod to a location for the purpose of pinning users to it for Horizon resource prioritization. In many ways, it is similar to an Active Directory site, which (among other things) is used to automatically direct users to Active Directory resources in their immediate location.

Sites are most commonly used when your Horizon pods are located in the same physical or geographical location as your user base. For example, if you prefer users in your RTP office to use Horizon pools in that office, rather than the ones in San Jose, but in the event of maintenance or downtime in RTP, you want to retain the ability to use Horizon pools in San Jose, you can use a Horizon site.
