When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Changing the Group Policy refresh interval
By default, all computers in an AD domain attempt to refresh their Group Policy settings every 90 minutes, with a 30-minute offset. This is extended to limit the peak amount of network bandwidth that is consumed when refreshing the Group Policies. By default, the Group Policy is also updated at every boot of the OS. The following steps outline how to change the Group Policy refresh interval:
- Using the Group Policy console, edit the local desktop or domain-based Group Policy.
- Select the Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | System | Group Policy policy object.
- Double-click on the Group Policy refresh internal for computers policy to open the policy properties window.
