Abstract
The response of systems to sinusoidal inputs is discussed and phasors introduced. The principles of complex numbers in the description of such systems behaviour are also introduced. Bode plots are introduced for the description of the behaviour of control systems. The basic principles of system stability are discussed. How compensators can be used to modify control system behaviour is introduced.
