Chapter 4. Using Your iPhone as a Mobile Phone
When the cell-signal indicatorat the top of the iPhone screen shows that you have access to the cell network, you can use your iPhone to make and receive phone calls.
You can access mobile-phone features by tapping the Phonebutton on the main iPhone screen. When you do this, your iPhone displays aseries of buttons along the bottom of the screen: Favorites, Recents, Contacts, Keypad, and Voicemail. Tapping these buttons enables you to access contactsthat you have designated as Favorites, entries for calls you have recently madeor received, a list of all contacts stored in your iPhone, a numeric keypad fordialing manually, and a list of voicemail messages that you have received.
