Chapter 9. Surfing the Web with Your iPhone
If your iPhone has access to the Internet, either through a Wi-Fi network or the AT&T Edge network, you can use its built-in Safari Web browser to surf the Web.
If you have bookmarked favorite sites on your computer, you can transfer those bookmarks to your iPhone, allowing for easy access to all of your favorite pages. In addition, you can create new bookmarks using Safari on your iPhone. To help keep your bookmarks organized, the iPhone enables you to rearrange them, and to create folders in which you can group related bookmarks.
Of course, you are not limited to accessing pages that are bookmarked. You can display the intelligent keyboard in Safari and type any URL you choose.
