Deploying the function

We can now navigate to the Lambda console and deploy our function. We will start by clicking on the Create a lambda function button. We'll be asked to select a blueprint. The only option suitable for a Java-based function is Blank Function. Once we click on that option, we are presented with the Configure Triggers screen. When you click on the empty square, you will be presented with a drop-down menu, as seen in this screenshot from the AWS console:
