I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Many people contributed to the writing of this book. Mark Hapner was the creative mind behind the invention of the Java Message Service API, and he wrote the JMS Specification and API documentation with his coauthors Rich Burridge and Rahul Sharma. After they completed versions 1.0, 1.0.1, and 1.0.2 of the Specification, Joseph Fialli became the Specification Lead. Joe supervised the publication of version 1.0.2b of the JMS Specification and API documentation and became the primary technical contributor to this book. Kim Haase, with the assistance of Joe and the rest of the JMS development team, wrote the JMS Tutorial and helped edit the API documentation.
