If you have a very large tree, you may prefer not to display it all on the screen, but allow the user to reveal child nodes on demand as they navigate down the hierarchy. The following example contains a tree where each node displays the amount of children it contains if it’s not a leaf. When these nodes are clicked, they expand their hierarchy to the next level to show all child nodes. Any child nodes that also contain a number can be clicked, expanding the hierarchy further down, as shown below:
