Indexing strategy

Now that we have discussed the various types of indexes available, we need to put that together into an overall indexing strategy. There are many things to consider when it comes to creating indexes that are appropriate for our workload and identifying just the right combination of indexes is an ongoing process. We may create a series of indexes during the application development stage that work well, but then once the application is in production and users begin generating queries, a whole different set of indexes may become necessary. Let's start outlining this process by looking at the different considerations for building indexes.
