It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Geocoding
Geocoding is the transformation of an address into geographical coordinates. The two main providers that I know are OpenStreetMap (OSM) and Google. Only one can be used at a time. It takes a little configuration and a restart to set or change the provider.
