In previous chapters, we stated that you can author configuration files in any text editor you want and how important that is for both cross-platform use and tooling choice freedom. In practice, your choice of text editor largely depends on your preferences and the interactive experience you want as you type. The best thing about authoring files for DSC is that you can pick and choose whichever text editor you want to use at any point in time in your workflow.
