When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The Windows management framework version
Since the release of the first edition of this book, both WMF 5.0 and WMF 5.1 have been released and stabilized and WMF 4.0 has been largely deprecated. While you can still install a DSC pull server in WMF 4.0 manually, the tooling we described in the first edition moved forward and stopped supporting 4.0 directly. This is largely because of the new features and settings WMF 5.0 and 5.1 make it hard to support the older 4.0 limited set. This doesn't mean your entire fleet has to be WMF 5.0 or 5.1 just yet; it just means if you are starting out, you should start with a WMF 5.1 DSC pull server instead of a WMF 4.0 one and your clients can be any version from WMF 4.0 to 5.1.
