So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Nearly two decades ago when I first began my work in financial counseling, I believed that people made financial mistakes because of a lack of personal financial education and because of sales pitches and misleading advertising that led them astray. Although I still believe these factors contribute to a lot of money misery, I’ve learned over the years that counterproductive habits and beliefs sabotage the best laid plans, too.
This book represents a compilation of what I have learned in my one-on-one work with individuals in addition to current research into how to best develop productive financial habits and extinguish problematic ones.
