5 Solutions of matrix equations
The study of linear algebra and matrix theory has originated from the research on the solutions of linear equations. In this chapter, solutions of various matrix equations are explored.
In Section 5.1, numerical and analytical solutions to typical linear equations are presented, based on different types of linear equations. Equations with unique solutions, infinitely many solutions, and no solutions are addressed. In Section 5.2, various other simple linear equations are explored. In Section 5.3, various Lyapunov equations are studied, and immediate numerical solutions are presented, followed by Kronecker product-based analytical solutions and their MATLAB implementations.
