Salta para o teu editor a partir de menos
Quando estiveres a ver um ficheiro de texto com less e quiseres editar o ficheiro, não sai de less. Basta premir v para lançar o teu editor de texto preferido. Carrega o ficheiro e coloca o cursor no local que estavas a ver em less. Sai do editor e estás de volta aless na localização original.
Para que este truque funcione melhor, define a variável de ambiente EDITOR e/ou VISUAL para um comando de edição. Estas variáveis de ambiente representam o teu editor de texto Linux por omissão que pode ser iniciado por vários comandos, incluindo less, lynx, git , crontab , e numerosos programas de email. Por exemplo, para definir emacscomo o teu editor por omissão, coloca uma das seguintes linhas (ou ambas) num ficheiro de configuração da shell e coloca-o como fonte:
VISUAL=emacs EDITOR=emacs
