I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Linux boomt. Ganz besonders im Bereich der eingebetteten Systeme. Inzwischen dürfte die Mehrheit der Haushalte einen Linux-Kernel betreiben, zum Beispiel in Form eines DSL-Routers, eines modernen Fernsehers, eines Navigationsgerätes oder eines Android-Handys. Und täglich werden von den Herstellern neue Geräte, die auf Linux basieren, vorgestellt. Linux ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes »in«.
Das ist nachvollziehbar, denn der offene Quellcode hat insbesondere für die Entwickler gleich mehrere Vorteile: Erstens macht er herstellerunabhängig; Probleme lassen sich – entsprechendes Know-how vorausgesetzt – jetzt selbst lösen.
