So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Favorites
Favorites enables you to add frequently used documents, applications, network servers and volumes, and Internet locations to a submenu on the Apple menu. This makes them quick and easy to access.
Tip
Favorites also appear in the Network Browser and the new Open and Save As dialog boxes. I discuss the Network Browser in Chapter 10 and the new Open and Save As dialog boxes in Chapter 5.
Tip
The favorites feature works with aliases, which I discuss on the previous two pages.
Tip
The Mac OS 9.1 installer adds a Web page location icon for http://www.apple.com to the Favorites submenu. Selecting this item uses your Web browser to connect to Apple Computer's home page.
