Macintosh drag and drop enables you to copy or move information by dragging selections from one location to another:
Dragging a selection from one location in a document window to another moves the selection.
Dragging a selection from one document window to another in the same application copies the selection.
Dragging a selection from one application's document window to another application's document window copies the selection.
Holding down
while dragging a selection copies the selection.
Dragging a selection from a document window to the Finder creates a clipping file (Figure 51) containing the selection (Figure 52).
