7 Source-Field Method for 3D Magnetostatic Fields
7.1 INTRODUCTION
There are many formulations to solve magnetostatic cases and we have already implemented some [1, 2]. In this chapter we will present the “Source-Field” method, which is a very effective way to solve 3D magnetostatic and magnetodynamic problems. It has been successfully used by several research groups and more recently by our team, the GRUCAD/UFSC [3, 4]. From our collaboration with the L2EP Lille, we started working on this topic and a great deal of their experience was quite useful to implement the method and also to describe it in this chapter.
