Preface

This book covers two closely related topics: trigonometry and analytic geometry. You will get more out of this book if you read a geometry book first, whether it be our Make: Geometry or another book that covers triangles, circles, polyhedra, cross-sectional slices, the Pythagorean Theorem, and similar topics. This book, in turn, covers some of the topics that are helpful background for our Make: Calculus.

Who This Book Is For

This is not a standard algebra II, trigonometry, or precalculus textbook. Rather, we have pulled out concepts that we think are more intuitive if taught first in a hands-on, applied way.
