C.1.2 Understanding event filters
An event filter describes a set of characteristics, for example, severity and event type, that is
used to select a single event or a group of events. When applied to a managed system, group
of systems, or group, an event filter can be used to control which events are displayed for
viewing in the event log and which events trigger the initiation of specific actions.
Types of event filters
You can create the following types of event filters:
Simple Event Filters: The default general-purpose filter type.
