The future is unknown. But there are a lot of efforts going around in the cryptocurrency and blockchain universe to accommodate what’s ahead. Many innovators are now cognizant that AI and agentic commerce can place crypto in a totally new and promising trajectory.

At the same time, the mysteries of what quantum computing will bring in the next few years, as an inevitable technological shift, bring both uncertainty and also uncharted promise.

Cypherpunk Systems

An ideology that emerged in the late 1980s and early-to-mid 1990s, the “cypherpunk” movement involved digital-forward-thinking activists believing strong cryptography could protect individual privacy. The idea that this autonomy against the encroaching power of highly centralized governments and corporations was way ahead of its time. That’s because this group of cryptographers and programmers was concerned, even early on in the digital age, that privacy was essential for an open society.
