I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
JavaScript engine performance
This can make a massive difference when testing modern JavaScript-heavy sites. Something that is rendered instantly in the latest version of Google Chrome could take seconds to render in Internet Explorer 8. If you are interested in how much variance there is in the various JavaScript engines, have a look at the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark (http://www.webkit.org/perf/sunspider/sunspider.html). Try running the test in various browsers. It's amazing how slow some of the older browsers are.
