Word tries its best to help you with the writing task. When you goof, mistakes are corrected. When it looks like you meant to type a special character, Word inserts the proper character for you. Formatted lists and paragraphs can also appear automatically. Some of these features save a lot of time, and some you may find get in your way. Together, these tools form what I call the Autos.
