So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Use custom formatting to display the day
of the week
A worksheet contains dates in column A. Use this tip to get the
corresponding day of the week of these dates.

To display weekdays using customized formatting:
1. Select cells B2:B10 and type the formula =A2.
2. Press <Ctrl+Enter>.
3. From the Format menu, select Cells.
4. Select the Number tab and click on Custom below
Category.
5. In the Type box, change the number format to dddd.
6. Press OK.
