Chapter 12. Power Automate and AI Builder
In this chapter, I’ll briefly explain AI in layman’s terms. Then, I will lay out an understanding of what AI Builder is and how it simplifies tasks such as text recognition, sentiment analysis, and data prediction through prebuilt models and intuitive interfaces, empowering users to save time and reduce errors. Integrated with Power Automate, AI Builder enhances everyday operations, enabling businesses to automate processes, improve productivity, and focus on impactful work with minimal resources. Finally, I’ll go through common use cases where AI Builder and Power Automate work together effortlessly, demonstrating their ability to drive productivity and optimize task management.
A Brief Introduction to AI
AI is a way of teaching computers to mimic how humans think and solve problems (human cognitive functions). Instead of giving a computer strict instruction for every task, AI allows it to learn patterns and make decisions based on the data it’s exposed to.
AI heavily relies on data, as this is the “fuel” that drives its learning. The more data AI systems have, and the better the quality of that data, the smarter and more accurate they become. Imagine trying to teach a self-driving car to recognize stop signs—it needs thousands of pictures of stop signs in various shapes, colors, and conditions to learn what they look like in different scenarios. If the data is incomplete or incorrect, the AI might struggle to perform its tasks accurately, ...
