I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
DATASETS
The DATASETS area of Power BI holds the raw data that makes up your reports. When you left-click on one of your datasets, the designer opens to build reports from the dataset. The designer can be used to do the following things:
- Create more Quick Insights
- Create new reports
- Refresh or schedule refreshes
- Manage permissions
- Download the Power BI Desktop file (.pbix)
When you start with a dataset, users can create new reports from your data, even when accessing it through the web. The entire user interface will feel nearly identical to Power BI Desktop, but you will be lacking the ability to modify the model, query, and relationships.
