In Chapter 7, you learned about your coexistence options between Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2007. Coexistence is the first step in a full transition to Exchange Server 2007. Because Exchange Server 2007 does not support a direct in-place upgrade mechanism from older versions of Exchange, your transition project plan must include a coexistence phase.
