You can start Word in several different ways, depending on how it was installed, but the tried-and-true method is to choose Microsoft Word from the Windows Start menu. When Word starts, it automatically opens a new blank document for you. If you’ve been experimenting and Word is already running, you can open a new blank document with a few mouse clicks.
