It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Data definition triggers, which differ from data manipulation triggers, fire based on events that occur at the server and database level. For example, you can create a data definition trigger that will fire when a database or table is created. These triggers are commonly used for auditing the creation of databases on a server or objects within a database.
