I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

With the advent of .NET came a lot of power and flexibility. You can now develop an application in any language you like and can even easily develop different parts of the application in different languages. If you prefer C++, another developer prefers Visual Basic, and yet another developer prefers C#, it is possible for each of you to develop the assemblies you are responsible for in the language you prefer and put them to work seamlessly.
Although that ability is great for the developer, it is not necessarily the best business decision. For example, imagine that you work for a development shop that codes primarily Visual Basic and one of your developers decides to code his portion of the project in C#. Although in theory ...
