Debugging JavaScript in Visual Web Developer
You’ve added simple functionality to the personal portal by using JavaScript. However, as your JavaScript skills grow and you create more code in JavaScript, the opportunities for errors grow. Debugging is an important skill to help you find errors and test code. Visual Web Developer provides rich capabilities for debugging JavaScript on the client in browsers. The same techniques you use here can be used with C# code on the server. You will explore debugging in C# in later chapters.
Debugging with Visual Web Developer is capable only with Microsoft Internet Explorer. By default, the capability for debugging with Internet Explorer is disabled.
