Summary
Analysis Services enables you to improve query performance by creating a set of preaggre-
gated data structures: aggregations. This performance improvement comes from the smaller
size of an aggregation as compared to the original data. You can query aggregated data
and get a much quicker response.
The number of potential aggregations is so large that if you were to build all of them, it
would take a lot of time and a lot of space. Analysis Services provides an aggregation
