Dimension Security Architecture
A user that retrieves data from Analysis Services can belong to multiple roles. Therefore,
when a user retrieves data, Analysis Services evaluates dimension security for each role to
which that user belongs. If the system has many security roles defined, the possible
combination of roles that different users belong to can be very large. Analysis Services
2005 has a scalable mechanism that enables fast evaluation of dimension security, which
works even for very large dimensions.
