Your first step is to determine whether writeback is defined in a measure group. To do
that, expand the tree in the left pane of SQL Server Management Studio. A measure group
that has writeback enabled will have a child folder under the Writeback folder that is the
child of the folder for the measure group.
If you have measure groups with the writeback capability enabled, you’ll want to make
sure that your writeback tables are backed up along with your multidimensional database.
