Abstract
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is an option to bolster the safety of networks and devices connected to the Internet of Things (IoT). DLT offers a safe and tamper-proof method for storing and exchanging data, which may assist in the prevention of cyber-attacks on Internet of Things devices. A safe method of authenticating devices is one way that DLT can be used to increase the security of the Internet of Things. When a piece of hardware joins a network, it may utilize DLT to demonstrate its true identity to the network. This makes it far more difficult for unauthorized devices to connect to the network and launch attacks. Another way that Distributed Ledger Technology may be used to enhance the security of the Internet of Things is by offering a safe mechanism to store data. The use of DLT allows the creation of a distributed database that can be accessed by all devices connected to the network. This database can store sensitive data, including user passwords and financial information. Because they are dispersed, the database makes it difficult for potential attackers to access the data or make changes to it. DLT may also be used to increase the security of the Internet of Things by offering a safe method for devices to interact with one another. Devices can interact with one another ...
