Chapter 8: Viewing, Downloading, Managing, and Editing Images
The D7100 experience doesn’t end once you’re done photographing. For some photographers it’s just the beginning of the image-making process. First off, you can play back the images right on the LCD monitor or you can plug the camera into your television and view them as a slide show with your friends and family. Eventually you need to transfer them from the camera to your computer. Some photographers are purists and may be finished with their photos at this point. They may post them to the web or e-mail them just as they are right out of the camera. Other people like to add effects, tweak and modify the colors, fix blemishes, and more. You can make simple edits to your photos using software such as the Nikon View NX2 packaged with the D7100. There are also a great number of very good options for editing software.
Taking the photo is just the beginning of the photographic process.
Viewing Your Images
The D7100 offers two ways to view your images: You can simply press the Playback button ( ) and view them directly on the LCD monitor, or you can connect the camera to a television and view your pictures on the screen. You can connect to an HDTV using the HDMI out port.
