14.6 Providers: Business Logic of the Application

The more extensive the logic behind an endpoint becomes, the longer the methods will be. To counteract this problem and to prevent the controller from growing to the point of being unmaintainable, Nest provides the services. These are classes you can load and use as needed in your controllers or even in other services. A service is a special type of provider. Other types of providers include repositories, factories, and helpers. Because services represent the most common type, we’ll focus on it. Later in this book, you’ll get to know yet another form of provider with repositories.
